Does the idea of leveraging communications to influence some of Aruba’s key audiences, such as media, industry analysts and employees, while gaining valuable hands-on learning experience sound exciting and fun? If so, we’re looking for you!

The Aruba Integrated Communications Team is looking for a highly motivated intern to join us for a challenging 10 – 12 week program for the Summer of 2020. Reporting to the Director of PR, the ideal candidate will play an active role on the Integrated Communications team, working alongside seasoned communications professionals on specific, assigned projects designed to provide a holistic view of how the communications function operates in a corporate environment. Summer interns will obtain practical work experience, learn about Aruba’s business, and receive mentorship from their manager and team. Summer interns will set goals/objectives with their managers at the start of the internship, and complete end of summer performance evaluations.

Primary responsibilities

The successful candidate may work with team leads on various projects spanning AR, PR, Customer References, Market Intelligence and Employee Communications. Projects may include:

AR/PR Projects

·  Develop program/process to ensure tighter, more regular coordination with Social Media team for influencer outreach
·  Identify new and upcoming media/analyst/influencer targets and outlets for Aruba to further promote its brand and offerings
·  Assist and own a particular aspect of an upcoming launch or analyst report

Customer Reference Projects

·  Lead and assist in Customer Reference Appreciation Program
·  In conjunction with the Customer Reference lead, identify and develop new processes to enhance the Voice of the Customer program
·  Develop written content that highlights the customer benefits from the customer perspective

Market Intelligence Projects

·  Propose and create new programs to elevate market/business intelligence
·  In partnership with Market Intelligence lead, devise ways to expand internal research distribution and promotion of content

Education:

Currently pursing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field. Must have completed at least 2 years of school (entering Junior or Senior year)

Required Skills:

·  Strong interpersonal and face-to-face communication skills with a can-do attitude
·  Able to manage numerous projects simultaneously
·  Self-starter – Identify a problem, raise it and resolve it
·  Ability to adhere to multiple deadlines
·  Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
