Job Description

Legal counsel in charge of debt issuances linked to various underlying assets including fund linked notes and fund related financing transactions.
Overall purpose of the role:
Advising, structuring and documenting issues of debt instruments for the bank's group (own account) and for the clients of the bank (third parties).
Working in close cooperation with the front office teams in charge of structuring, originating and syndicating structured debt products mainly based in Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York and London.
Providing legal advice and support for all transactional matters carried out by and fund related financing transactions
Dealing with legal documentation on transactional matters
Liaising with external legal counsel, other teams within the Legal department and other in-house departments for transactional matters

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

- Working practice gained at major law firm and/or in-house (either permanent role or through a secondment))
- Expertise:

- DCM experience in respect of various types of underlying (including fund linked notes)
- Solid understanding of debt issuances.

- Excellent technical skills and analytical ability
- Good transactional skills
- Excellent communications skills (both written and oral) and client management skills
- Responsiveness and strong team spirit will be required to work with demanding front office desks and collaboratively with colleagues
