About Us

The Material Process and Modeling team at GE Research leads the development of new structural composite materials and processing technologies to support GE businesses and external programs. Our technologies can be found in the latest commercial and military jet engines as well as in wind energy, oil and gas, power, and a multitude of other applications. Current areas of activity include both Polymer Matrix Composites (PMCs) and Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs). In conjunction with hands-on development, we use science and multi-physics process modeling across our technology domain to understand fundamental process drivers for yield and performance and to accelerate commercialization of new technologies.  Working as part of cross-disciplinary teams we also contribute to the future of additive, battery, hypersonics, and other critical technologies.

GE Research is GE's innovation engine where new ideas are originated, developed and productized to create a better world and deliver differentiated products across the company's industrial portfolio. These products span the aviation, power, transportation and health care sectors.

Today, we're a forward leaning, interdisciplinary organization, matching world-class innovation with market insights and industry connections to move faster and deliver better outcomes for GE’s businesses and customers.
