Role Summary/Purpose

Responsible for designing entire product or solution architecture, visualizing upstream dependencies across multiple versions, resolving scalability and issues and overall positioning of the product with reference to market and competition. Seen as a strategist who can evangelize and plot the product roadmap for coming years. Responsible for driving the design and development efforts in alignment with the product roadmap for one or more product families.
Essential Responsibilities

• Uses technology expertise, Industry & competitive intelligence and deep knowledge customer preferences to conceive, evaluate, design & deliver superior product / service offerings that exceed customer expectations.
• Develops lasting, innovative architecture that satisfies business and customer requirements, and aligns with the long-term plan for the product/service.
• Applies a strategic understanding of the timing and rationale for design choices and identifies critical design areas early in the development process.
• Drives new ways of thinking, across groups within the division, to improve quality, engineering productivity and responsiveness to feedback and changing priorities.
• Finds opportunities for collaboration across groups in the division, ensures that cross-team commitments are set, and achieves scale in his or her work efforts by enabling the work of others.
• Tailors communication to a variety of audiences and perspectives, and anticipates issues to prevent conflict.
• Subject matter expert in processes and methodologies with ability to adapt and improvise in various situations.
• Expert in navigating through ambiguity and prioritizing conflicting asks.
• Chooses the appropriate internal or external technologies, incorporates research, creates designs that are reused across the team, and is an excellent judge of practices that work well.
• Defines quality metrics, best practices and coding patterns, and provides deep expertise on the coding strategy.
• Produces simple, elegant code, and resolves the most difficult problems in the product.
• Resolves issues outside his or her area of responsibility and opens discussions with peers and takes action when needed to ensure the success of the product.
• Leads overall technical architecture and design, ensures scalability, reliability, and serviceability of product, and drives best implementation practices.
• Enable fast prototyping of new technologies by owning design, modeling and implementation.
• Develop and maintain quality and engineering project funnel. Hands on experience and able to develop concepts.
• Provide leadership and direction for Agile, SAFe (scaled agile framework) adoption & implementation and test automation for upcoming NPIs
• Work closely with Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) organization and build a strong platform security and governance model
Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future platform architecture direction across the MICT
• Analyze, design and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• A minimum of 18 years of technical experience with 4-5 years of software leadership experience, leading design and development of complex software applications and software components
• Designed & developed software for healthcare Imaging products following Medical Device design and regulations
• Hands on experience in different software subsystems areas of the imaging product like DICOM, Cyber Security, patient workflows and handling of end to end software development of the product
• Played global roles in defining the road map for the programs
• Software development experience in Full Stack, Java, Angular JS, C++ and latest Digital technologies. Having sound technical experience in Security.
• Experience with developing software delivery framework, including Chef, Jenkins, and Github ensuring a stable application environment
• Deep knowledge in Software design concepts, System architecture and UML Concepts
• Industry expert or Strong knowledge of Agile software methodologies (XP, Scrum)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, judgment, organizational and problem solving skills; technical, project and personnel at various levels in the organization
• The ability to channel high-level guidance to direct the building of large and complex software applications.
• Demonstrated experience on global product releases through multiple NPI cycles.
• Contributed in driving technical changes across a segment of products.
• Demonstrated Enterprise Platforms Architecture including technology evaluations, solution implementation, process oversight, regulatory knowledge.
