Role Summary/Purpose
The successful candidate will be a Materials Engineering Assistant for GE Renewable Energy Materials & Process Engineering (MWC).
Essential Responsibilities
• Support MPE and related teams with managing specification revisions.
• Manage approved materials lists to support supplier manufacturing qualification and certification efforts.
• Coordinate test programs.
• Maintain materials databases.
• Track and communicate specification revisions.
• Track and update cost-out activities in the MWC MPE team.
• Facilitate documentation improvement efforts within the global MPE teams.
• Coordinate purchase orders for MPE team as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Associate’s degree in a technical field
• Comfortable and efficient with standard PC applications – Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel
Desired Characteristics
• Experience with PLM processes – ECO/ECR process, CCB, specification release strongly preferred
• Experience with material testing/data strongly preferred
• Strong Excel and/or database skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, contributing to positive culture and overall team results
