Role Summary/Purpose

As part of the GE India Multi-modal Manufacturing team, the Winder is responsible for all types winding operations and produce defect free parts with continual improvement of overall motor productivity.
Essential Responsibilities

Proven ability and hands on experience in one or more of the following areas –

Motor / Alternator Winding and Brazing
• Braze either by torch, carbon or induction
• Perform Coil insertion, electrical connections per winding diagrams
• Perform all electrical tests and inspections like Surge & High Voltage tests
• Insulating , Forming & Taping

Coil making, Insulating, Manual / Machine Taping and Forming
• Set-up and monitor machine operations according to standard operating instructions
• Perform all electrical tests and inspections like Surge & High Voltage tests
• Experience in owning, operating and maintaining machines
• Responsible for troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance

Vacuum Pressure Impregnation
• Ability to handle job and perform impregnation cycles
• Handle, measure and mix chemicals in accordance with prescribed methods and operating requirements
• Ability to load , monitor and program Ovens
• Proven experience of working in VPI area to understand and comply to the Safety Critical requirements
Qualifications/Requirements

The candidate should be from Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Production or Industrial Engineering diploma having 3-5 years of experience working in medium to large scale Motor / Alternator manufacturing industry.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team. The candidate shall be highly energetic and passionate with positive attitude. Experience in hands on skills and command over production processes. Demonstrated ability to ensure Safety Compliance, maintain 5S at work place and apply Kaizen principles. Should be self- motivated, self-starter & quick learner.
