Role Summary/Purpose

The internship will be performed in the Mechanical Equipment Team under Plant and Accessories in GE Power. This team is responsible for project development, design and execution of non-fired heat-exchangers in combined cycle power plants.
Essential Responsibilities

This internship will be focused on bringing mechanical engineering simulations to the next level. After detailed introduction to our equipment design and physics you will have opportunity to automate the mechanical engineering calculations and simulations processes. You will also work on the cross-platform engineering app development which purpose will be to make automated design optimization using machine learning from big-data.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Graduating Bachelor or Master student in Computational Science or Engineering Faculties with skills and interest in Programming. 
·  Interest and / or better experience in mechanical calculations with experience in simulation software packages like Ansys or Abaqus. 
·  Knowledge of Ansys WB and/or Ansys Mechanical ACT application programming interface is considered as a plus.

·  High level of motivation and high level of communication skills. 
·  Fluent in English (oral and written).
