Role Summary/Purpose
The Low-Voltage Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of systems to include Voice and Data, Fiber Optics, DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), Security, Access Control, Wireless Systems, and Nurse Call.
Essential Responsibilities
•Installation of pathways and cabling
•Analyze blueprints effectively for job site knowledge
•Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipates equipment, procedures and training
•Demonstrate the ability to complete an overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size
•Opportunity to lead small crews
•Enforce a safe jobsite and maintains compliance with company safety and safety standards
•Installation and Termination of peripheral devices
•Programming and testing of the systems
•Customer Training of the appropriate systems
•Maintenance and support, service calls of the installed systems
•Travel to various locations to replace/troubleshoot hardware equipment
•Monitor progress of work, delivery and implementation
•Accurately completed required paperwork
Qualifications/Requirements
•High school diploma or equivalent is required
•2-5 years in the communications industry
•Knowledge of telecommunication, data network, cabling and /or connectivity, desktop / server
hardware and software with regards to configurations and troubleshooting
•Excellent interpersonal communication skills - verbal, written and listening
•Confident engaging with customers during the period of the project
•Solid attention to detail with good follow-through
•Ability to read and understand floor plans
•Ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated positive attitude
•Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance
•Commute to various job sites driving or via air travel may be required
