Role Summary/Purpose

The Image Analysis Project Engineer will provide Image analysis and dimensional metrology results for CT scanned engine hardware. You will work with hardware owners and design engineers to provide analysis results that meet their requirement. You will also work with NDE Engineers in establishing NDE or NDT techniques that optimize image quality and inspection results. You will be expected to manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be a key contributor to long-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities

In addition, as the Image Analysis Project Engineer, you will:

·  Execute and provide guidance for the analysis and evaluation of various CT images that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements

·  Provide Image analysis and dimensional metrology results for CT scans

·  Model, merge and process CT scan data for evaluation and presentation of results to the Customer

·  Set up image processing scripts and analysis to provide inspections results

·  Provide Level II review of scanned image data

·  Interpret drawings and interface with design engineers to create techniques for hardware inspection

·  Work with X-Ray Level III Certifying Agents to get planning techniques approved

·  Operate X-Ray Equipment to scan parts

·  Program X-Ray machines to automate the scanning of repeat X-Ray inspections

·  Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate

·  Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

·  Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements
·  Schedules and contract commitments
·  Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college, OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Engineering, technical field or similar role

·  A minimum of 3 years experience in a technical role

Desired Characteristics

·  Level 2 or greater NDE or NDT certification for X-ray and/or Digital Radiography

·  Functional knowledge of VGStudio and Avizo CT data reviewing tools

·  Image processing and analysis experience

·  In-depth understanding of engineering technology and tools

·  Strong written and oral communication skills

·  Experience in a non-destructive testing environment
