Role Summary/Purpose

The Mechanic / Millwright will perform repairs and modifications on various electrical and mechanical systems.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines
·  Following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications
·  Troubleshooting malfunctions and sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
·  Listening for problems using precision measuring and testing instruments
·  Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes and hand and power tools
·  Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
·  Completes maintenance tasks by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
·  Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
·  Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
·  Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications and establishing personal networks
·  Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
·  Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
·  Performs Root Cause analysis during unplanned equipment downtime
·  Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma / GED
·  Millwright or Mechanical related certification
·  Minimum 5 years of industrial / manufacturing hands-on maintenance experience in Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical and/or Instrumentation role
·  Ability to lift 50 lbs
·  Ability to stand / kneel for long periods of time
·  Ability and willingness to work overtime as assigned

Desired Characteristics

·  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
·  Working knowledge of PM systems
·  Knowledge of precision maintenance regarding alignment, fits and tolerances
·  Proficient in precision measurements, using Rulers, Calipers, Micrometers and other measuring instruments
·  Proficient using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
·  Skills in Pipe fitting and Tube Bending
·  Knowledge of Bearings and Bearing fits
·  Works in safe manner
·  Resolves safety issues timely
·  Knowledge of basic computer programs
·  Knowledge of CCMS #CMCJob
