Role Summary/Purpose
The GE Healthcare Edison Engineering Internship Program offers professional development through a challenging internship in a dynamic, fast-paced, medical technology business. Interns work on engineering assignments guided by technical mentors.
Essential Responsibilities
Assignments may include:
· Designing, testing and/or debugging functions and features of GE Healthcare products
· Designing, testing and/or debugging functions and features of development/test tools
· Data analytics
• Documentation
Qualifications/Requirements
· Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent degree
· Overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale)
· High self-confidence
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms
· Demonstrated analytical ability and technical competency in Computer Engineering or Computer Science areas
· Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and in teams
· Proven leadership skills and experience
· Must be willing to relocate
· Able to work for a minimum of 10 weeks

Desired Characteristics
· Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
· A prior internship or co-op with software and/or firmware design experience
· Proficiency in software languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Shell scripting, C, C++, Matlab, and/or Python
· Experience with object-oriented design methodology, and/or algorithm development
· Experience with agile principles and methodologies
· Experience with Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and/or Artificial Intelligence technologies
· Passion for a career in healthcare technology
