**About the job**

We are looking for a System Software Engineer to join our Instances Design & Deployment team. Your main mission will be to design, create and serve new offers of Virtual and GPU instances to our customers. We expect you to have a mixed background in low-level software engineering and in system administration. Are you ready to get the best from new hardware technologies ? **What You’ll Be Doing**

* Work closely with product managers and Hardware R&D to design next instances that will serve our users

* Develop, test and deploy the code that will enable the creation of new instances

* Benchmark performances of our instances against competitors'

* Work closely with Hardware project managers and Network engineers to deploy hypervisors within our data centers and network

* Configure & deploy in production hypervisors that will provide instances to our customer. Automate it, creating/improving the related workflows.

* Develop and maintain the tools allowing to manage and monitor lifecycle of our hypervisors

* Work with multiple engineering teams (Network, Hardware, Monitoring) to monitor resources consumption (network bandwidth, electricity, cpu...) of our instances and hypervisors in production

Profil recherché

**What we expect from you**

* Experience with Linux systems: Ubuntu Server, qemu/kvm

* Provable knowhow in troubleshooting both hardware and kernel issues

* A great attitude and desire to collaborate with engineering teams

* Experience with Layer 3 networking, DHCP and PXE booting

* Experience with Python programming and bash scripting

* Experience with infrastructure as code and continuous deployment

* Experience with monitoring systems

**Nice to have**

* Experience writing tools to manage physical servers at scale. Love of all things automation

* Experience profiling hardware configurations performance

* Experience with relational databases

* Knowledge of one cloud platform and related use-cases

* Experience as an OSS contributor or maintainer
