Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. As part of a global team of 10,000 professionals in 100 countries you will advise clients on preserving, optimizing, raising or investing capital. Major groups (or, as we call them, sub-service lines and competencies) within TAS include Mergers and Acquisition Services, Project Finance, Restructuring Services, Operational Transaction Services, Transaction Support, Transaction Tax, and Valuation and Business Modeling.

Join our Transaction Support team and you will work with many of the world’s largest organizations, fastest-growing companies and private equity firms on some of the most complex deals in the global market. Through analysis of financial, commercial and operational data, our industry-aligned transaction support professionals provide insights to key decision-makers that help them increase value and reduce the risks and uncertainty inherent in transactions. You will help to identify key value drivers, challenge assumptions about future performance, search for and advise on hidden value, and work with other EY service teams to deliver an integrated approach to our clients before, during and after the transaction.

Responsibilities:

You will work under Valuation and Business Modelling team, Data Analytics unit, lead by a 10+ year IT and data mining expert to conduct data analytics and due diligence in transactions (i.e. M&A)

 

You will mainly

· 
Capture, consolidate, transform and analyze massive volume of data from structured data (e.g. finance system etc.) and unstructured data to support data analytics during due diligence and valuation work;

· 
Work with databases, analytical tools - such as SQL Server, SAS, SPSS, and R, to analyze data in support of due diligence and valuation work.

· 
Use data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire etc.) to identify of key issues and opportunities in due diligence and valuation work;

· 
Communicate with internal project team and/or target management to better understand client’s business, support the conclusions of data analysis and deliver customized advice to client;

· 
Work closely with financial diligence, tax diligence and commercial diligence teams to identify deal issues and advise solutions; and

· 
Draft analytics reports and/or prepare key summary section in combined report.

 

You will also from time to time

· 
Assist in internal database and tools designing, implementing and coaching to help core VBM team in AI, work automation, digitalization etc.

· 
Assist in developing gadget or tools to fulfill client’s special needs during transaction.

 

Requirements:

· 
University graduates majored in Computer Science, or Math, or Engineering, or related fields with a minimum of 3 year relevant experience;

· 
Knowledge in data analytics and data visualization platforms, e.g. Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBI, SmartBI, etc.;

· 
Knowledge in programming languages e.g. R, Python, C++ etc.;

· 
Knowledge in database computer languages e.g. SQL, Server, Oracle, SPSS Clementine, etc.;

· 
Creative thinking with strong execution ability;

· 
Excellence in communication and client facing; and

· 
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

 

Below skills will be strong plus:

· 
Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, HBase (or MongoDB, Cassandra etc.); and

· 
Knowledge of .net, jquery, javascript, AJAX, Html5.
