In today’s dynamic and transformative era, theEY GDS (Global Delivery Services) Tax function holds a core belief that development of our people is crucial for growth. The new LTG program provides retired Tax senior executives a unique opportunity to contribute as learning facilitators and technical coaches in building and shaping the future of the Tax profession!

 

Tapping into your insight and vast experience will significantly impact over 9K+ GDS professionals in developing technical and client serving skills necessary to reach our goal of #1 growth market leader.This program is designed to elevate our people’s Tax technical capabilities by having seasoned leaders deliver trainings on specific competencies such as; corporate, partnership and real estate tax, to name a few. 

 

EY GDS Tax is looking to engage Big 4 Tax alumni and industry professionals from the Unites States for 1 to 6-month contracts across 4 seasonal cycles noted below. The retired executives would onboard as Lead Instructors to train our Tax staff through manager ranks across several GDS locations depending upon required competencies.  

 

Hands-on training :

·  1 st cycle – 15 January – 15 April
·  2 nd cycle – 15 July – 15 October

 

Classroom training :

· 
1 st cycle – 1 May – 15 July

· 
2 nd cycle – 15 October – 15 December

Hands-on training will typically include being embedded with the engagement teams to field questions and brainstorm on real-time scenarios to enhance learning opportunities. Classroom training will typically focus on the formal EY Tax curriculum theoretical principles already developed with leader guides and worksheets. Classroom sizes are approximately 20-30 participants with some larger groups depending on the cycle needs.A one-cycle commitment will be rewarding on its own, however, we welcome a multi-cycle scenario to enhance consistency and rapport building efforts.

Responsibilities:  

· 
For each cycle, customize tax technical training programs for assigned GDS population

· 
Deliver engaging on-site tax technical training sessions 

· 
Bring content to life in sharing relevant client engagement stories connected to service quality, risk management, and people leadership skills

· 
Evaluate results of training program and advise on potential enhancements for future learning materials

· 
Mentor and coach GDS Tax professionals by fielding questions and brainstorming potential solutions for challenging client engagement scenarios

Ideal technical trainer skills and qualifications:  

· 
Beginning to intermediate tax technical acumen in corporate, partnership (i.e. real estate), indirect, international, mobility, or individual taxation

· 
Experience in facilitating tax technical trainings 

· 
Basic knowledge of modern training techniques and tools  

· 
Dynamic communication and presentation skills  

· 
Demonstration of flexible and agile mindset in being part of a new program launch

·  Experience in designing technical course content is a plus
· 
CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
