The opportunity
EY is looking for a Domain Analyst responsible for delivering impactful analysis and insight for the Insurance domain. This role requires the ability to combine strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset with real-world perspective driven by an understanding of both clients’ issues and broader marketplace drivers. A collaborative mindset is also crucial.
The Domain Analyst will be providing thought-provoking content to help EY differentiate itself in the marketplace and proactively helping to identify new business opportunities and risks. The analyst may also engage with clients, including at the C-suite level, in support of the domain’s agenda.

 

Your key responsibilities
·    Provide deep analytical insight and understanding of the Insurance domain, with responsibility for the execution of strategic initiatives and based on a detailed knowledge of the domain’s dynamics and drivers.
·  Engage with and challenge domain stakeholders and internal customers to provide commercial and provocative perspectives on the issues, challenges and opportunities facing the domain and prepares insightful analysis on the impact of those trends for EY and its clients.
·  Develop and co-create insights beyond publicly available information by interacting with Knowledge colleagues, account teams, service line colleagues and clients to incorporate proprietary knowledge and, where possible, develop proprietary data sets to evidence a differentiated point of view.
·  Develop a credible internal brand to become recognized within EY as a subject matter expert to the business. May participate in client meetings, roundtables and other external events/conferences to strengthen EY’s presence and reputation in the market.

Skills and attributes for success
·    Strong knowledge and demonstrated understanding of the issues, trends and drivers within the Insurance sector
·  Collaborative and able to work well both as part of a team and independently in a global, multi-cultural and virtual environment
·  Effective executive-level presentation skills; demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of domain and EY leadership, as well as clients at a senior level
·  Succinct and structured oral and written communications skills with proven ability to explain complex concepts in a crisp, clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools.
·  Ability to take ownership for delivering customized projects with a high degree of autonomy and manage multiple, highly-complex projects simultaneously.
 
  What we are looking for
We are looking to hire someone with a profound knowledge of the Insurance sector in Asia-Pacific – and particularly China – with strong analytical skills and good command of the Chinese language.

The role is predicated on three key requirements:
·  A self-starter in a geographically dispersed market with varying levels of market maturity who can rapidly build strong relationships with Asia-Pacific Insurance Leadership and Knowledge team, contributing to Thought Leadership, proactively suggesting themes/topics which will resonate in the market place and potentially help integrating new markets in the regional support model;
·  An Analyst with a solid understanding of digital trends within insurance and able to leverage innovation experience from Asia-Pacific to provide a differentiated perspective on digital and disruption which is a key priority for the sector; and
·  An ambitious individual able to play a key role in developing the Insurance research and insights plan - which is closely aligned to the Insurance Sector Priorities - working closely with Analysts and Knowledge Managers across the Financial Services cluster.
