In order to strengthen its “Wind” team, Tractebel is actively looking for a Project Engineer Onshore Wind - Wind Energy


The working environment

The Business Entity Belgium is one of the geographical business entities within Tractebel ENGIE.

In this Business Entity, the Business Line Energy aims to grow its business by offering its customers and prospects attractive, competitive and innovative offers in energy in the widest possible range.

The Business Line Energy is responsible for all the engineering related to the development and realisation of energy generation projects based on amongst others wind, solar, biomass, geothermal and gas and of energy distribution and storage projects including substations, interconnections, battery and hydrogen storage. These projects go from the pre-feasibility studies up to final commissioning of the installations.

Within the Business Line Energy, the wind team handles with onshore and offshore wind projects both in Belgium and abroad. Projects cover all phases of development, realisation and commissioning of projects as from a single turbine (2-3 MW) upto > 500 MW projects.

Your function

·  To assist the project manager in all technical and organisational matters including the tender preparation, project plan elaboration, organisation of meetings, etc;
·  To assist (or lead) the project engineering design reviews process;
·  To assist in the organisation, coordination and supervision of all construction activities;
·  To assist in the management of site engineering supervisors;
·  To assist in the monitoring of all project parameters (quality, cost, schedule);
·  To contribute to the client satisfaction, identify his needs and come up with tailor made solution;
·  To integrate yourself into the project team consisting of both internal and external contributors and immerse yourself in the technical aspects of the project; and
·  To look for continuous improvement in all processes and methodologies.

Profile

·  Graduate-level engineer;
·  Good soft skills;
·  Good customer handling and communication skills;
·  Experience in an international environment is a strong asset;
·  Excellent English language skills. Good French knowledge is a strong asset;
·  Stress resistant, results-focused, determined, decisive, well-organised;
·  Ready to travel for short or medium missions and openness for expatriation are required.
·  You are open to other cultures and assure smooth intercultural contacts.
