Job description



Job Purpose

The candidate will be integrating, maintaining, developing and expanding ENGIE PowerCorner's software applications to provide an ecosystem of services that contributes to a positive, visible difference on the field for our customers and stakeholders. This will include the full stack development of our web and mobile applications, and the integration of data streams from and to other systems such as our Salesforce CRM, mobile application, backend and the mobile money operators. The role offers the opportunity to accompany the project along its growth, combining the agility of a small innovative team and the impact a large company can offer.

Principal Functions and responsibilities


Software development
·  Develop new features for PowerCorner's micro-services, web & mobile apps
·  Integrate service providers (mobile money, SMS notifications) through API for each new target country
·  Maintain current system, implement bug fixes and refactor the existing software to support efficient services at scale
·  Write thorough unit tests for every new feature to allow a smooth CICD pipeline
·  Work in an agile environment (daily stand ups, grooming, sprint planning etc)
Innovation
·  Be a creative force, generating ideas and testing disruptive technologies and methods through proof of concepts
Support
·  Support to the teams in Paris, Brussels and Africa on reporting, data analytics, training, …

Required Experience & Qualifications

·  Master's degree in Computer Sciences
·  Recent graduates up to 2 years of work experience in software development
·  The position requires good knowledge of:
·  Python 3 and AWS services
·  JavaScript, TypeScript
·  Angular and/or ReactJS
·  Restful API
·  Relational and NoSQL databases.
·  Experience with Git-based source code management
·  Working knowledge of both front end and back end programming concepts
·  Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English. French is a plus
·  Resourceful with strong troubleshooting skills, curious, self-organized, pro-active, collaborative and quick learner
·  A passion for energy access and a willingness to pursue state-off-the-art technologies

·  The position would benefit from a further knowledge or a willingness to learn technologies such as:
·  Serverless architectures, DevOps
·  Salesforce CRM

·  Test-driven development and continuous integration
