This position provides system support for all Wintel server-based software by implementing, monitoring and maintaining systems and application software running under Wintel Operating Systems. Maintains Wintel Server Operating System to provide optimum performance and system availability.  Supports software vendor to ensure application software is installed correctly and all current maintenance levels have been applied.

Essential Job Functions

·  Analyzes, logs, tracks and resolves complex software/hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, printer, servers, and applications to meet business needs.
·  Coordinates hardware/software installations and upgrades to ensure work is properly performed in accordance with company policy. Recommends resolution to complex matters of significance and coordinates the implementation of the approved course of action.
·  Coordinates and monitors troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning. Recommends course of action and implements as approved.
·  Oversees the installation of client department-specific applications and systems. Ensures installations are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; determines revisions or updates to installation as needed.
·  Coordinates testing, upgrades and configuration of system files and services. Ensures changes are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures
·  Utilizes standard corporate tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes.

Basic Qualifications

·  Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
·  Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field preferred
·  4+ years of experience with computer systems or networking
·  3-5 years working with Windows server environment
·  Experience working with computer hardware for installation and upgrades
·  Experience working with software installation/upgrading procedures
·  Experience working with file and system maintenance procedures

Tasks

·  Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues on Windows 2008, 2012 and 2016 servers
·  Manage the configuration and operation of Windows operating systems
·  Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
·  Respond to and resolve help desk requests
·  Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
·  Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes as it relates to Windows server environment
·  Review application logs
·  Install and test computer-related equipment
·  Some weekends and night work as needed
