Role Description:

MSS Build Engineer within the Build Team for DXC Managed Security Services which is part of the Europe Onboarding function with particular focus on EMEA-based clients.  Works across multiple concurrent projects to onboard customers to various managed security services across technologies, including but not limited to managed SIEM (ArcSight), NIPS/NIDS (Tipping Point), and managed authentication (RSA, Safenet).

Primary Responsibilities:

•           Architecture, Implementation, configuration and tuning of ESM 5.X, 6.x or above.
•           Architecture, Implementation, configuration and tuning of Logger and Connector Appliances, ArcMC.
•           Architecture, Implementation, configuration and tuning of Smart Connectors.
•           Implementation, configuration and tuning of default content.
•           Architecture and implementation of Flex Connector.
•           Network and asset modelling
•           Implementation, configuration of vulnerability scanner feeds
•           Advanced Content (develop and manage)
•           Use Case Design / Analysis and Technical Analysis;
•           Design and customer buy in on proposed builds;
•           Use Case Testing in QA;
•           Involved in development of ArcSight content such as Rules, Filters, Reports, Dashboards, Active Lists, etc.
•           Implementation of ITG, PCI and NERC Content Packs.
•           Documentation creation and Extensive client-facing experience as will typically be engaged in highly complex or highly sensitive projects requiring mature and very dependable direct customer interaction.
•           Demonstrable consultative skills and ability to analyse complex issues for impact and alternative solutions, making logical decisions based on overall project objectives.
•           Relevant industry qualification where applicable.

Key Skills and Experience required:

•           Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
•           Advanced troubleshooting skills in a technical environment
•           Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•           Advanced knowledge of one or more of the preferred security technologies and willingness to undertake training on further technologies in alignment with business needs.
•           Ability to write clear work instructions and handover documentation to facilitate project closedown.
•           Experience in security device installations, configuration and troubleshooting in SIEM within dedicated and shared customer environments.
•           Experience in security device installations, configuration
•           Enterprise software installation experience (e.g., shared business or technical applications)
•           Expertise in UNIX, Linux, and Windows
•           Experience with Database installation and configuration including Oracle
•           Demonstrable consultative skills and ability to analyse complex issues for impact and alternative solutions, making logical decisions based on overall project objectives.
