The purpose of this QA role is to facilitate the implementation of an integrated and management system (Food Safety and Quality) to ensure the improvement of quality/operational performance and the development of quality mindset via iCare (Corporate Quality Food Safety Program).

Provide guidance and on-going support to facilitate compliance with Quality / Regulatory policies, Food Safety Programs (HACCP) procedures and product specifications. Promote a high standard of awareness and understanding at site level of all appropriate policies, procedures and product specifications.

Core Responsibilities (but not limited to);

·  Facilitate the implementation of Quality Standards by ensuring the necessary training and support is made available to the department and other functional areas. Empower and build self-sufficiency within the area. Train and provide tools to the Operational teams.
·  Quality Skills and Attitudes in all Plant Teams by building a common vision and related behaviours, shared by all plant team making iCare real on a daily basis.
·  Continuously improve standards set by facilitating and executing Problem Solving/Problem Solving Group (PSG) activity within the area. Conduct training and periodic assessments to ensure process is being followed.
·  Act as the Quality representative as required
·  Deliver Food Safety and Quality topics to areas on a weekly basis
·  Ensure that standards set within the area are adhered to through layered confirmation
·  Participate in the daily investigation meeting
·  Through analysis of Performance Data, identify performance gaps, trends and improvement opportunities. Coordinate the reporting of Quality KPI's and communicate internally using visual management standards in the area and externally to site management team/stakeholders
·  Support HACCP Validations and all other site wide validations as required
·  Ensure that factory based Quality audits are carried out to verify compliance against defined standards and codes of practice. Audits will include, but not confined to Hygiene Audits, HACCP / QC Verification, Glass and Hard Plastic and GMP/GDP audits
·  Support all external site audits
·  As part of a wider project team lead and/or participate in the delivery of key projects that have an impact on the site objectives.
·  DaMaWay(Danone Manufacturing System):Embody the principles and philosophies of DaMaWay – make DaMaWay real on a daily basis through practicing, participating, owning and cascading the key principles (Zoning, SIM, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement etc.)

Essential Criteria:

·  Relevant Third Level qualification inrelated discipline such as Microbiology, Food Safety or Chemistry.
·  Minimum of 2 years' Food Safety Management or Quality experience within a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
·  HACCP Qualification is desirable
