Wealth Management Quality Engineer
We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 40 years, we’re still growing! We have a challenging career opportunity for a hands-on Quality Engineer with previous experience in Wealth Management to work on CGI`s Global Wealth Platform.
CGI Wealth360 is an end-to-end product solutions suite that helps wealth managers anticipate change, offer creative options and increase efficiencies in managing their clients’ investments by optimizing front-office sales, middle-office decision-making and back-office administration.
Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer at CGI Global Wealth, you will be part of a team working to provide Quality strategies, automated testing strategies and leading a group of quality testers (manual and automated) for two of our products collaborating with our Quality Engineers across Global Wealth. You will be responsible for coordinating quality strategy and standards across the two product teams by defining and implementing detailed, comprehensive automated test strategy and leading the day to day testing for the product releases. You will also be responsible for monitoring and creating quality metrics across the development and QA processes.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to adopt and implement Global Wealth quality automation
architecture and infrastructure to ensure software reliability and availability
Asses automation frameworks and manual QA processes to identify areas of
improvement and recommend solutions; plan and drive implementation of automation
Track quality assurance metrics across entire product pipeline
Introduce product teams to automation practices and culture
Plan, track, address issues of the day to day release testing activities
Plan resource allocation for onshore and off shore QA resources
Working with the product director and team leads participate in planning and co-
ordination of releases, functional enhancements, defects, technical work packages and
automation
Participate in client management of releases as required
Ability to integrate with the Product management, development and operation teams
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes in an iterative / Agile
environment
Strong knowledge of automated QA/QC tools and processes (Eggplant, Selenium,
LoadRunner, Junit, HP QTP/UTP, SOATest,….)
Strong knowledge of JIRA
Ability to drive change
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Hands-on experience with all aspects of Performance testing
Experience with Continuous Integration orchestration (Bamboo, Jenkins)
Understanding of Repository management applications (BitBucket, GitHub)
Understanding of containerization (Docker, OCI)
Have a technical passion in Quality Management practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple QA activities for various releases at the same time
Excellent collaboration and working in a team environment
Eager to learn and adopt continuous improvement
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the field of Computer Science or Systems
