Position Description
CGI is looking for a C# .NET Developer for a Healthcare Client in Lafayette, LA.

Talented C# .NET developer is needed to join the team! Developer will be responsible (among other things) for the architecture, technical design and development of new .NET applications and web services which will be critical component of the BST (Business Sculpting and Plan Portal). We are seeking a very strong C# .NET developer to work with a team of high-performance high-caliber individuals, focused and motivated to achieve the project’s goals.

Your future duties and responsibilities
This developer will support applications, services, infrastructure, environment management, releases, code move up, troubleshoot production issues, support help desk tickets, support business data extract needs. Will mostly work on are related to production support, environment support (CICD), and enhancements to existing applications

The developer must be highly-motivated, take ownership of tasks, assignments, issues, and follow through until resolved. Have strong analysis skills to allow them to successfully learn the application’s business requirements quickly, understand the business and resolve technical issues and problems as they arise. The developer will have design and coding responsibilities for upcoming application releases and possible other technical initiatives as well. Must be able to work collaboratively with other team members (developers, analysts, business partners and multiple upstream and downstream applications’ teams). The developer will have lead responsibilities as well.

The ideal candidate must be efficient enough to meet aggressive deadlines and be able to produce high-quality results (low defects, meets business requirements and design specifications). The candidate must be extremely solid technically, and must be able to effectively communicate with team members and capable to produce documentation for Enterprise groups.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Minimum Qualifications
• BS, Computer Science or related degree, MCSE, or equivalent experience
• Strong technical, hands-on familiarity with latest Microsoft technology stack
• Self-motivated and highly professional
• Effective verbal and written communications skills
• Able to meet deadlines working independently and directing others
• Effective interaction with peers, team members and business partners
• Demonstrates application delivery experience as part of a project team
• Prior experience leading team of developers
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Required Technical Skills
An excellent working knowledge of
• SQL Server – Stored Procedures, User Defined functions, performance tuning
• Object-oriented software design and development
• Microsoft .NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET Core 2 MVC WebAPI, ASP.NET 2.0,
• Working knowledge of LINQ and Lambda expressions
• Prior work experience with MVC/MVP design patterns
• Entity Framework Core API
• Angular 6, Angular.js or any other JavaScript framework
• Modern web UI development with Material, Bootstrap, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS3
• WebAPI, WCF and/or REST services, JSON
• Container strategies, Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes, etc.

Experience in the following is a plus
• Prior experience with Scrum or any other agile SDLC methodology.
• Prior work experience with ASPOSE components and/or Excel object model
• Advanced experience with Windows services
• Oracle and DB2
• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Prior experience on a multi-threaded application
• Familiarity with underwriting and pricing methodologies
• DevOps, CI/CD
• UWP
• Services
