Come join CGI and be part of a large program within a strategic DHS Component. CGI is looking for a Junior to Expert-level Information Assurance Security Engineer with 0-8+ years of applicable experience with IT, Computer Science, Information Systems (or equivalent) degree to join our team. Qualified candidates will be involved in activities that include hands on support of this role to be part of a security team that supports Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and all other relevant cybersecurity standards, directives and policies, including the alignment with the administration, implementation and configuration of security tools to enhance the risk posture of customer networks. We are looking for talented individuals with strong analytical and problem solving skills, good oral and written skills, attention to detail. Additionally, we are looking for individuals who will actively identify and mitigate a wide range of risks and will also work closely with the customer, learning their mission, priorities, organization and unique challenges. This opportunity will support a dynamic, fast-paced and energetic project with the opportunity to work with a highly technical team focusing on supporting a strategic federal customer.

- This includes applying technical expertise in implementing efficiencies and creating strategies to better detect and support security controls and respond to cyber incidents by prioritizing mitigation actions.
- Ability to collaborate and work with a diverse group of Security Engineers in developing solutions for complex challenges.

Your future duties and responsibilities
1. Develop and update the system security plan, configuration of system controls, POA&M, security assessment reports and any other additional security documentation.
2. Perform security assessments of systems and networks and establish strict program control processes to ensure risk mitigation.
3. Provide continuous monitoring that includes software compliance and assurance, incident management and vulnerability assessments.
4. Analyzes and drafts critical functional analysis for SFR/SRR.
5. Documentation of system controls.
6. Supports third party security assessment activities.
7. Supports IATT.
8. Conducts audit log management and supports cyber policy compliance.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance/investigation to start employment.
• Must be able to pass a CGI background check to start employment.
• Understanding of federal cybersecurity guidance such as NIST SP 800-37 - Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems: a Security Life Cycle Approach and NIST 800-137 - Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.
• Security relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH.
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems
• Security+ Certification.
• Experience creating System Security Plans (SSP).
• Experience in leading security assessments and audits.
• Experience Identifying and mitigating security risks.
• Experience in creating POA&Ms.
• Experience creating Corrective Action Plans (CAP).
• A good understanding of security policy compliance.
