Shipper and Receiver (2000910) – Acworth, GA

Where the Chemistry Happens  

Responsible for timely and accurate recording of transactions that impact shipping, receiving and inventory processes or records.  Prepares and loads (and unloads) finished goods for delivery to customers and/or inter-company transfers.  Prepares shipping and receiving documentation and performs additional miscellaneous clerical/administrative duties to ensure efficient warehouse operations and timely, quality driven, delivery of product to customers.

 

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience
One-year shipping and/or warehousing experience with inventory control is a required. 

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong typing and math skills, strong customer service skills and the ability to operate a sit down and stand up forklift. One-year shipping and/or warehousing experience with inventory control is a requirement. 

·  Load outbound and unload inbound products from Vans and Flatbed trailers.
·  Must be capable of driving, safely operating and drive a sit down and stand up forklift.
·  Prepare shipping documentation. Maintain receiving records to account for all received goods and materials.
·  Responsible for preparing customer sales orders for shipping per company policy. Follow all appropriate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.
·  Wears prescribed Personal Protective Equipment and ensures that prescribed safeguards are properly used.
