Where the Chemistry Happens…

Lab Technician – 1903392 – Chattanooga, TN

You will be responsible for quality assurance testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products for the BASF Corp. High Solids SB Dispersions Plant in Chattanooga, TN including work of 12-hour shifts (nights and weekends)

You will use your skillsets to conduct analytical testing on finished latex in support of a 24/7 ISO 9001 manufacturing operation as well as evaluation of data based on internal and external specifications. Ensuring the key test included the safe, accurate and timely measurement of viscosity, solids content, pH, particle size, surface tension, coagulum as well as excellent analytical skills involving

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

·  Leveraging your laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment or Associates degree in a Chemical Technology Program, you will show developed proficiency in workflow management and necessary prioritization to support the speed of production.
·  Your strong communication and computer skills are vital to the position, including the ability to operate various controlled instruments in addition to familiarity with personal computers (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel). You will also utilize knowledge in SAP to expedite shipping while evaluating products and interacting with the Production Team.

·  Utilizing strong detail oriented with the ability to record (via notebook or computer) and report pertinent data as well as the ability to prioritize tasks. Your good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment and interact with management and employees within the organization will help you succeed in this role.
·  You will utilize your experience in running GC, Viscometers, spectrophotometers, and other wet chemistry instruments. You may, on occasion perform some shipping and receiving duties including movement and filling of tank trucks and raw material unloading. Additionally, some yard tractor, forklift operations or lifting up to 49lbs.
