Internship 3D Printing (m/f/d)

Job description

Within start-up-like structures, we provide services to our customers in the automotive, aerospace and consumer goods sectors in a dynamic market. The business is built on materials, system solutions, components and services in the 3D printing sector and we work closely with global research platforms as well as BASF application technicians.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Join our team as of April 2020 at BASF 3D Printing Solutions GmbH for a period of 6 months.

·  As part of your internship, you will support the team in testing new materials on 3D printers and in carrying out development projects.
·  You will help in laboratory work related to 3D printing of photopolymers and support in the quality control of 3D printed parts.
·  Furthermore, you will design test objects in CAD software (Autodesk/Solidworks).
·  You will design, carry out tests and subsequently analyse them.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  You are currently studying chemical or mechanical engineering, materials technology, process engineering or a comparable field of study
·  Knowledge in the field of production engineering, especially additive manufacturing and basic knowledge in the field of design (CAD)
·  Initial experience in materials engineering and quality management
·  Communication skills in both German and English
·  Pronounced interest in innovative technologies
