Heavy Duty Rotating Equipment Engineer – Integrally Geared Compressors (2002088) – Freeport, TX

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure operational availability and optimized life cycle management for key heavy-duty rotating equipment assets with a focus on integrally geared compressors.  As the North American Technical Expertise Integrally Geared Category Owner, you will join a high-performance team dedicated to improving and sustaining asset performance to meet the needs of our business partners.  You will engage often with business unit staff and leaders to develop and maintain an optimized health strategy for these key assets across North America.

Formula for Success
Your communication skills and ability to influence others will serve you well as you present proposals and recommendations to improve overall asset life cycle management to various groups and departments ranging from field support personnel to senior leaders and strengthen the global network of contacts and stakeholders. Leveraging your knowledge of maintenance and reliability tools and programs including but not limited to vibration, lubrication, thermography, root cause failure analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, etc., you will consistently drive improved performance of assets to meet aggressive business targets. Utilizing your field experience, you will act in a leadership role for repair/upgrade efforts in routine and Turnaround activities.  This practical ‘hands on’ experience will allow you to develop work scopes, evaluate spare part requirements, and provide quality assurance during execution to drive best in class repairs and upgrades. Your desire for Excellence in Safety, Health, and Environmental performance will be demonstrated as you role model a strong safety mindset and commit to working safely. Your participation in PHA and HAZOP activities and Management of Change will ensure assets are started, operated, and maintained in a safe condition.  You will support sustainability and knowledge management by developing and delivering training to a wide range of colleagues including Production, Technology, and Maintenance personnel. Utilizing your desire for continuous improvement you will continuously look to collect and share best practices across the global network.  Your enthusiasm for technology will be an asset as you monitor technical developments within the marketplace and evaluate the potential to implement within the equipment population.  As a key contributor and primary influencer for capital projects, you will have the opportunity to ensure continuous improvement is a priority for the specification, selection, purchase, installation and operation of new assets.
