Job description

In the Coatings Division, we are focused on the development, production and marketing of a variety of coating solutions - from applied surface technologies to automotive paints. Working in global teams, we promote innovation, design and new applications in order to meet our partners' needs. The 'Innovation Beyond Paint' program rounds off our portfolio. It is aimed at the development of new markets and business models.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Digital Incubation Unit is developing new digital business models, aiming to reveal and seize new opportunities in the field of future mobility, which go beyond the current automotive OEM or refinish business.

·  In your role as Digital Product Manager you will manage the interface between our venture project managers and external development teams.
·  You will be responsible for prototype and MVP development as well as further implementation phases.
·  By understanding the Digital Incubation Unit's strategic position, you will deliver products that break new ground for BASF Coatings GmbH.
·  You will work hands-on with UX/UI design, marketing as well as engineers to implement and build new products.
·  Besides integrating usability studies, research and market insights into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction, you will define as well as analyze metrics that track the success of products.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  two years of experience in digital product management with a proven track record of successful projects
·  experience with design thinking and lean start-up within an agile work surrounding
·  high understanding of modern best practices in digital businesses as well as the ability to identify emerging trends in the market
·  passion for building, managing customer-centric products and intuitive user experiences to inspire designers and engineers with thought-provoking ideas and ambitious objectives
·  strong interest in new technologies like AI or AR/VR to develop new digital products as well as the automotive business
·  strong communicator in both German and English
