The opportunity

Atos is growing the capabilities of it’s UK Public Sector Centre of Excellence (CoE) to work with our clients on the digital transformation journey. You will be a part of a multiple disciplinary team ensuring the accelerated establishment of a DevOps culture & capabilities across our clients and support current application delivery and management. You'll work alongside DevOps engineers, cloud engineers and developers with clients to understand their requirements, propose solutions and implementation. Ensuring aligned with the standards and polices of the CoE.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

Your role will be to work as part of the wider team to implement to the relevant testing requirements to support various teams in meeting their outcomes.

You will work to understand client’s quality assurance requirements.

You'll be able to demonstrate the appropriate testing technologies and frameworks to customers and teams to engage them in new frameworks and automation tools.

Able to contribute to delivery timescales implementation and cost estimates together based on proposed quality assurance and risks.

Adhere to polices and standards for the CoE.

Communicating expertly and work together within a multi-disciplinary team, fostering the open and collaborative culture.

Presenting and depicting the rationale of findings in simple, engaging and easy to understand business terms to a diverse group of partners.

As the Tester you will be expected to travel to customer and Atos sites UK wide; working from client/office/home locations as appropriate. Flexible working arrangements will be available

Skills we can’t do without:

·  You will have previous experience working as a Test Automation Engineer.
·  Strong experience working in a DevOps/Agile development environment and practical experience with BDD and TDD, focusing on web service/API testing.
·  Experience in Java, Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber, Jbehave and preferably Serenity, using a CI tool like Jenkins to trigger execution of test scripts.
·  Use of either Jasmine, Mocha or similar framework.
·  Strong experience of interpreting testing requirements using a variety of artefacts, including stories and wireframes.
·  Able to undertake and successfully gain SC level security clearance checks.

Skills we’d like:

·  ISEB/ISTQB Qualifications
·  Experience with Linux administration skills are also important to have.
