As a Java Developer (m/f/d) at the Software Technology Center, you will be entrusted with the implementation of small to medium-sized Java application parts in software development. You will preferably be assigned to projects at our customers' sites where modern methods and processes for software development are to be used (e.g. agile software development, DevOps, infrastructure automation and/or continuous delivery).

 

Tasks
-Active participation in all phases of a software development project
-Creation of subcomponents (e.g. webselling module) for standard applications in the area of Java development
-Support in the preparation of cost estimates / calculation bases (e.g. for customer tenders in the public sector)
-Support in the creation of technical concepts (e.g. requirements analysis)
-Support during the tendering phase in the preparation of tenders (e.g. analysis of partial aspects of the tender)
-Support in the creation of test concepts according to the project manager's specifications
-Knowledge transfer Atos internal (e.g. within the framework of "Learning Friday" events)
-Support in the evaluation of new methods or procedures in the field of Java development (e.g. Continuous Delivery, DevOps, etc.)

 

Requirements
-This position requires specialist know-how, usually acquired through two years of professional experience or by completing vocational training or a bachelor's degree.
-Advanced programming experience in the programming language Java as well as website development with Angular, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript/Typescript
-Practical experience and knowledge in programming web services, micro services and knowledge of cloud native programming
-Basic knowledge in software development using a Java EE technology stack (JSF, JPA and object-relational mapping frameworks (e.g. Hibernate))
-Debugging or remote debugging of Java applications
-Knowledge of architectural concepts of frameworks and design patterns and their implementation in programming, as well as basic knowledge of UML
-Experience in programming and performing developer tests and experience with test automation (e.g. using TestNG, JUnit, Selenium)
-Experience with integrated development environments, preferably Eclipse
-Practical experience with version control systems (e.g. Git, Subversion) and change management systems (e.g. BugZilla, Confluence, Jira)
-Knowledge of agile methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) as well as continuous delivery and deployment (e.g. Jenkins, Maven)
-Advanced knowledge of relational databases (keywords: transactions/isolation, referential integrity), secure handling of SQL and PL/SQL
-Communication of concepts and architectures to the project team
-Ability to work in a team, solution orientation
-Ability to abstract, model and simplify
-Ability to recognize dependencies

-Analytical and structured procedure and independent, self-reliant work
-German C2 according to European Framework of Reference for Languages
-We expect the willingness to undergo a security review in accordance with the Security Review Act (SÜG).
