The Internal Communications – Business team is the engine room for communications across Sainsbury's business, brands and channels. Within the team, the Digital Transformation team is the business owner of the digital platforms that support great communication across our business.

You will become an expert on Sainsbury's operations and ways of working across all brands, channels and sites and will help to develop and continually improve digital platforms that support great communication and drive colleague engagement.

You will work with the wider Internal Communications – Business team to support communications activity in relation to systems integration across the business.

Please note this is a Family Leave cover, the FTC will be for 9-12 month.

 

What you need to do

·  You will be part of the cross functional working group that continuously seek to improve our digital channels, and advise on how to provide the best user experience. 
·  You will support the team in providing clear briefs for the Tech team and external suppliers on requirements for our digital channels and will be responsible for day-to-day management of progress against the brief.
·  You will work with the Senior Communications Manager – Digital Transformation to formulate and deliver the long-term strategy for our digital platforms. 
·  Working with the Internal Communications Campaigns (ICC) Team, you will enable and equip our business to use Viva Engage to build a community, deliver successful events and create connections across our brands that bring people together to ask questions, share best practice, collaborate and celebrate success in a safe and inclusive community.
·  You will support the team in project managing future improvements to the Activity app. 
·  You will be responsible for day-to-day management of detailed project plans managing key milestones, progress against them and troubleshooting/escalating issues as required.
·  You will contribute to regular reports on progress against these objectives to our stakeholders.
·  You will work closely with the Operational Communications team to communicate the plans for the intranet, Viva Engage, Colleague Screens and Activity App to the business, as required.
·  You will work as one team, within the Internal Communications – Business team and the wider Corporate Affairs division.
·  Provide Adhoc out of hours cover to support the communication of business results and announcements. 

What you need to know and show

·  Strong written and verbal communication skills
·  Experience of planning, designing and delivering projects in a large, complex and multi-location organisation
·  Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the contribution that communications make to delivering business objectives
·  Excellent knowledge of retail teams and processes
·  Strong attention to detail
·  Strong analytical skills
·  Action-orientated with high energy, agility and pragmatism
·  Excellent management skills and the ability to influence others to deliver
·  Creative thinker and problem solver
·  An understanding of Modern SharePoint and other Microsoft products would be advantageous
