Non Food - Category Admin Clothing

Why join us

Joining our buying team at Sainsbury's offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a friendly and passionate group of fashion enthusiasts. As we work towards delivering our growth plans and offering our customers a great range of products, you will play a vital role in supporting our buying teams by providing efficient administrative support and ensuring data integrity. We value work-life balance and flexibility, allowing you to create a schedule that works for you. With opportunities for development, a collaborative work environment, and a commitment to learning, you'll have plenty of room to grow and thrive. Join us and become part of a team that embraces curiosity, accountability, and a customer-focused approach, all while contributing to our success in the dynamic world of fashion retail.

What you'll do

You will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and effective functioning of the team. Working closely with the Senior Buyer and other Category Admins, you will be responsible for handling administrative tasks and data inputting to ensure compliance with company and legal guidelines. Your keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills will be essential as you assist in maintaining accurate records, managing data entry, and supporting promotional and pricing administration. Additionally, you will be a key resource for the Buying and Design teams, providing reports and documentation for commercial meetings, as well as ensuring the timely and accurate generation of SKU-related data. Your role will contribute to overall process compliance and data integrity, allowing the team to achieve their objectives and deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Who you are

You are detail-oriented, highly organised, and possess a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn and develop. You are an essential support to the Buying teams, ensuring efficient and effective processing of administrative tasks and data inputting, while maintaining compliance with company and legal guidelines. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enable you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, supporting the broader Buying Team and UK-based Global Design team. You demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and record maintenance, ensuring data integrity and process compliance. With your customer-focused approach and proactive mindset, you contribute to building positive relationships and understanding the commercial aspects of our product ranges, stores, and competitors. Your ability to manage multiple tasks, attend meetings, and adapt to new systems allows you to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer, so you’ll be welcomed whoever you are and wherever you work. Around here, there’s always the chance to try something new - whether that’s as part of an evolving team or somewhere else across the business - and we take development seriously and promise to support you. We also recognise and celebrate colleagues when they go the extra mile and, where possible, offer flexible working. When you join our team, we’ll also offer you an amazing range of benefits. Here are some of them:

Starting off with colleague discount, you'll be able to get 10% off at Sainsbury's, Argos, TU and Habitat after 4 weeks. This increases to 15% off at Sainsbury’s every Friday and Saturday and 15% off at Argos every pay day. We've also got you covered for your future with our pensions scheme and life cover. You'll also be able to share in our success as you may be eligible for a performance-related bonus of up to 5% of salary, depending on how we perform.

Your wellbeing is important to us too. You'll receive an annual holiday allowance, and you can buy additional holiday. We also offer other benefits that will help your money go further such as season ticket loans, cycle to work scheme, health cash plans, pay advance (where you can access some of your pay before pay day) as well access to a great range of discounts from hundreds of other retailers. And if you ever need it there is also an employee assistance programme.

Moments that matter are as important to us as they are to you which is why we give up to 26 weeks’ pay for maternity or adoption leave and up to 4 weeks’ pay for paternity leave.

Please see www.sainsburys.jobs for a range of our benefits (note, length of service and eligibility criteria may apply).

Please note, due to the volume of applications we receive, our roles may close early.

Make every future a success.
