Amazon's Search Customer Experience Quality Excellence (Search CX QE) Team is seeking for a talented and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Engineer to define and drive Amazon search result pages quality. The organization enables teams throughout the company to conceptualize, create and evaluate compelling search experiences for our customers. Our mission is to manage the portfolio of services that service hundreds of clients across Amazon and provide a world-class customer experience.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer of the Search CX QE team, you will be the owner of quality across 10 Tier-1 services. The Search CX QE team will define and obsess over the quality of search page. We enforce quality standard on feature testing and release testing to make sure internal and external teams deliver high-quality customer experiences across all devices and locales. We provide tools and processes that enable internal and external teams to improve search page quality. We identify gaps in the current processes, share best practices across teams, report metrics to drive search page quality across teams. We strive towards full automation but understand that not everything can or should be automated.

As a QAE in the Search CX QE team you will be responsible for setting the direction for test methodologies, metrics and quality requirements for the whole Search team and partner teams. You will be working closely with SDETs designing automated testing frameworks in order to eliminate manual testing from our release process. You should be able to dive deep into our existing test processes, detect inefficiencies in test processes and incorporate improvements so that our test method is scalable, reliable and fast. You will be spending a percentage of your time on your own projects to directly impact the team's speed, quality and efficiency.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years experience as part of a test team as a QAE or related role
· BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
· Knowledge of QA methodology and tools
· Experience in Perl/Python/JavaScript scripting and user-level automation
