Amazon Lending is an exciting program designed to help provide our selling partners with funds to grow their businesses. We take pride in building scalable, automated systems that leverage our data and insights to help our selling partners to be successful. Our team is looking for a highly motivated, customer centric Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) with a deep understanding of latest the test methodologies and techniques.

A successful candidate will be a talented software tester who has a passion for the customers' needs and is excited to work with a team of top-notch developers to build out our end-to-end platform. You will define creative and comprehensive test plans, test code at the user level, both manually and with the aid of automated tools, manage defects, and perform test case automation. You will work closely with Software Development, Technical Program Management, Product Management, and Customer Support teams to deliver high quality, scalable systems. Ultimately, you will drive testing processes and ensure that released software is of high quality within an Agile/Scrum environment.

The members of the team perform the following activities:
* Verify software meets the requirements
* Write test plans and test cases
* Automate and run regression test suites
* Maintain and update the automated tests as functionality changes
* Improve the software development process
* Advocate for the customer

The ideal candidate gets excited about making certain the user experience is the best possible. The strength of an engineer is the ability to creatively improve the software development and QA process, and the finely-honed ability to break software in unexpected ways. Candidates must be innovative, creative, flexible, self-directed, and understand quality assurance procedures and methodologies.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

•A Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
•5+ years industry experience testing software
•Knowledge of the latest QA methodologies and tools
•Experience conducting manual and automated UI testing
•Experience translating use cases and technical specifications into test cases
•Ability to write code (preferably java) for automated web testing tools and frameworks
•Improve the software development process
•Advocate for the customer
