Do you like helping customers and partners solve tough technical problems? Do you have experience with implementing relational database solutions based on Microsoft SQL Server? Are you familiar with best practices for designing and building SQL Server environments? Come join an experienced and energetic team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) that's helping customers run and modernize relational database workloads on the AWS cloud.

As a Partner Solutions Architect at AWS you will have the opportunity to help lead partners and customers in the design, build and migration of SQL Server workloads to AWS. You will have the opportunity to work directly with AWS service teams and help influence their technical roadmaps and drive future innovations. Candidates should have a deep background in SQL Server infrastructure and database-level design principles and experience with helping enterprise customers successfully design, deploy and operate relational database solutions on SQL Server.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

· Experience with one or more of the following Microsoft software products: Windows Server, Active Directory, .NET

· Experience with supporting partners in a software industry setting

· Practical experience in cloud computing architecture work, systems or application design, development or operations

· AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate

· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role

· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 10+ years of experience designing, building, migrating and troubleshooting SQL Server infrastructure

· Understanding of traditional SQL Server architectures and design patterns and how those architectures and design patterns translate to a cloud environment

· Experience with cloud-based database technologies including NoSQL databases and platform as a service database engines

· Experience in customer and partner facing roles with a proven track record of effective verbal and written communications skills

· Understanding of storage and networking technologies
