Would you like to work with some of the UK & Ireland’s most innovative Amazon Web Services (AWS) partners? Would you like to help a range of different AWS partners grow and improve their capability on AWS?

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for solutions architects to cover the UK & Ireland market who will focus on driving adoption of Amazon Web Services within AWS’ strategic Independent Software Vendor (ISV) segment. You will help build a business focused on enabling hyper-growth ISVs innovate on behalf of our customers. Our solutions architects are experienced technologists with technical breadth and depth coupled with strong interpersonal skills. As a Software as a Service (SaaS) Solutions Architect, you will work directly with some of our largest technology partners to enable innovation through continuous deployment across technology stacks and demonstrate best practices around advanced SaaS solutions.

You will partner with Account Managers, Professional Services, and several other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient SaaS architectures that address our joint customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of our services. Our solutions architects build architectures and provide prescriptive guidance across networking, storage, operating systems, virtualization, RDBMS & NoSQL databases, Hadoop, and mid-tier technologies (application integration, security, in-memory caches). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions and experience leading deep architecture discussions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
· As a Solutions Architect in the AWS UK&I ISV team, you will act as the technical trusted advisor to UK&I key technology partners working closely with their technical leadership teams and the AWS Business Development teams.
· Provide architectural guidance and best practice recommendations necessary to help ISVs build new SaaS solutions, new business models and architecture designs following the principles of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and the SaaS Factory.
· Demonstrate vision, creativity, business acumen and deep AWS knowledge in jointly developing industry and vertical technology solutions.
· Champion AWS technology partners across the AWS community, working collaboratively with AWS Account teams and Professional Services.
· Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community.
· Evangelise AWS services and solutions to the wider partner community participating in external events, such as summits, webinars and product launches.
· Share technology partner and customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications
· Expertise in one or more of the following is desirable: DevOps, Serverless, Networking, Security, Storage, Databases, IOT, AI/ML, Cloud Migration and IT Transformation.
· Expertise in architecting and operating SaaS solutions on AWS
· Knowledge of Tenant Isolation Architectures including strategies for multi-Tenant Data Partitioning.
· Understanding of authentication and authorization models to control access to tenant-specific resources
· Practical experience in designing solutions for billing, metering, consumption profiling and cost optimization
· Visible IT Industry thought leadership on topics related to enterprise IT infrastructure including public presentations, webinars, whitepapers and blogs is desirable.
· Cloud and/or AWS experience; AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Level.
· BA/BS degree is highly desired.

· The right person will possess significant hands-on implementation or consulting experience with a proven record of effective collaborations across multiple organisations, ideally a partner organisation.
· Deep technical skills in Solution Architecture and Cloud Computing.
· A demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must.
· Fluency in English is essential.
