Would you like to work with some of the UK & Ireland’s most innovative Amazon Web Services (AWS) partners? Would you like to help a range of different AWS partners grow and improve their capability on AWS?

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for solutions architects to cover the UK & Ireland market who will focus on driving adoption of Amazon Web Services within AWS’ strategic Independent Software Vendor (ISV) segment. You will help build a business focused on enabling hyper-growth ISVs innovate on behalf of our customers. Our solutions architects are experienced technologists with technical breadth and depth coupled with strong interpersonal skills. As a Software as a Service (SaaS) Solutions Architect, you will work directly with some of our largest technology partners to enable innovation through continuous deployment across technology stacks with a particular focus on Security and demonstrate best practices around advanced SaaS solutions.

You will partner with Account Managers, Professional Services, Partner Development Managers and several other AWS teams to craft highly secure, scalable, flexible and resilient SaaS architectures that address our joint customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of our services.

Roles & Responsibilities:
· As a Solutions Architect in the AWS UK&I ISV team, you will act as the technical trusted advisor to UK&I key technology partners working closely with their technical leadership teams and the AWS Business Development teams.
· Provide architectural guidance and best practice recommendations necessary to help ISVs build new SaaS solutions, new business models and architecture designs following the principles of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and the SaaS Factory.
· Demonstrate vision, creativity, business acumen and deep AWS knowledge in jointly developing industry and vertical technology solutions.
· Champion AWS technology partners across the AWS community, working collaboratively with AWS Account teams and Professional Services.
· Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community.
· Evangelise AWS services and solutions to the wider partner community participating in external events, such as summits, webinars and product launches.
· Share technology partner and customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:
· Expertise in architecting and operating Security SaaS solutions on AWS
· Knowledge of Tenant Isolation Architectures including strategies for multi-Tenant Data Partitioning.
· Understanding of authentication and authorization models to control access to tenant-specific resources
· Practical experience in designing solutions for billing, metering, and consumption profiling.
· Cloud and/or AWS experience;
· BA/BS degree is highly desired.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:
· Strong skills in any of the following security principles such as identity and access management, defence in depth, preventative vs detective controls, encryption and data protection, DevSecOps, Big Data Security.
· Intermediate development skills in any language (Python, Java, .NET, Javascript)
· Ability to work at scale in complex enterprise contexts.
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product design, and technical challenges.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must.
· Fluency in English is essential.
