The Compliance Operations (C-Ops) team ensures that Amazon transactions satisfy legal and safety requirements in accordance to the guidelines across global marketplaces. We proactively identify risks involved for Amazon while doing business in various countries and enable smooth flow of products across international borders. An Import/Export Specialist is responsible for protecting Amazon customers from products that are illegal, hazardous, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited /regulated by Law and Amazon policies. Duties may also include defining, applying, and defending regulatory policy and contractual requirements.

Your job responsibilities as an Import/Export Specialist may include:
- Develop, implement and update Regulatory Compliance Programs to ensure best practices consistent with product compliance and global trade-related requirements in different regions.
- Proactively analyse regulatory risks and manage internal procedures, manuals and controls that help ensure company’s compliance in various affected activities across the globe.
- Identify potential issues, design and implement practical solutions.
- Perform detailed regulatory research and develop regulatory knowledge documents.
- Work across functions and impart compliance training & awareness raising programs on regulatory risks.
- Draft process & regulatory documents, work instructions and control documents.

Skills:
- Hands on experience on online research works; added advantage of experience related to product compliance regulatory research.
- Attention to details. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyse and identify patterns in large data sets.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, to develop analytical reports on data sets.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office & MS Outlook; and MS PowerPoint proficiency is an advantage.
- Good at public speaking; would be an added advantage of having experience in imparting trainings.
Decision making aptitudes based on given guidelines and in ambiguous contexts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in regulatory compliance management from Laboratory.
