DESCRIPTION

Which team?
We are the European Fulfillment Network (EFN) Technical team in Luxembourg. Our retail systems support the expansion of Amazon in the European marketplaces.

What does the team work on?
We create services to store and ship products across Europe landscape, providing the best product price and availability to our European customers. Our goal is to make all products in a given country available on all of Amazon's European websites, at the lowest possible cost, and in the language of the customer.

What do we offer?
We're looking for a talented Data Engineer to help design, build and maintain data architecture(s) and infrastructure(s) to help analyzing our business and technical data and offer insights into the performance of our services and the behavior of our customers.
This is an opportunity to work with business analysts and software engineers to help business teams forecast the results of future projects. You will use the newest AWS technologies (Redshift, DynamoDB) to setup, maintain, and extract data that feeds into our service roadmaps.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
· Knowledge in relevant engineering best practices, data management fundamentals, data storage principles, and be current with recent advances in distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing.
· 2+ years of experience in designing, building and maintaining data architecture(s) and infrastructure(s).
· 2+ years of maintaining data warehouse systems and working on large scale data transformation using SQL, Hadoop, Hive, or other Big Data technologies.
· 2+ years of data modeling experience, and able to use data models to improve the performance of software services.
