DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Subscribe & Save is looking for a talented Business Intelligence Engineer who is passionate about using data to influence the customer experience for a large and quickly growing consumer-facing product subscription service. Customers around the world love Amazon’s Subscribe & Save program for the convenience and savings, and we are growing the program across Amazon categories, technologies, and countries. This role will focus on building world-class processes around collecting, organizing, and presenting data to understand customer behavior, feature performance, and accurately calculate ROI across multiple marketing and business development channels. A successful candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, is comfortable accessing and working with data from multiple sources, and can collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to help drive the business forward.

Responsibilities:
- Collect, evaluate, and present actionable data and recommendations to drive marketing, business development and product management decisions at a senior level.
- Own and automate generation of WW business metrics.
- Understand high-level business goals and continually align work with them to meet needs of business.
- Examine and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
- Recognize and adopt best practices in data investigation and reporting: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and self-service automation.
- Write high quality code to retrieve and review data. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in math, statistics, computer science or equivalent technical field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology, as well as experience in diving deep on data analysis or technical issues to come up with effective solutions.
- Experience with customer behavior analysis and/or customer segmentation
- Experience in Excel and data mining (SQL, ETL, data warehouse, etc.) and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
- Ability to coordinate cross functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline.
