DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an intern for 6 months to join Amazon in December 2019 or January 2020.

This is suitable for candidates who are getting a degree in economics, finance, mathematics or a related field with a strong desire to exceed expectations. The role provides an opportunity to enhance analytical skills, understand Amazon business and processes and make significant business impact across a broad range of stakeholders.

This project includes investigating a new method to analyze and build a demand/supply gap dashboards using real-time forecasting. This dashboard will be used by various stakeholders including leadership to take key decisions and identify trends during peak period. The second phase of this project includes developing an optimization model that will automate and solve inventory balancing across a wide variety of parameters.

The ideal candidate is a proven self-starter with strong analytical skills, has an ability to dive deep, summarize and communicate important data. Strong interpersonal skills and a strong working knowledge of MS-Excel are required. Solid organizational and project-management skills are also a must.

Key Responsibilities:
· Visualize and create customer backwards dashboards to solve for stakeholder needs.
· Work with operational, finance, sales and technical teams across the devices org to identify opportunities and continuously improve on inputs and ultimately outputs of the business
· Work with business intelligence tools, accessing and working with big data from multiple sources, and partnering with the business to identify strategic opportunities and deliver results
· Structured goals and a development plan will be provided during the internship, along with a selected mentor to provide support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Past experience with digital technologies, consumer products, media, and e-commerce

· Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects across functional teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and concepts
· Advanced Excel user, very comfortable with software and tools. You like playing with numbers and building analytical models.
· Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen (strong bias for action)
· Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills
· Working knowledge of SQL and Tableau
