We are looking for a Property Underwriter, based in Paris.

 

Your Team 
At Allianz Commercial we combine specialist expertise and global reach with high levels of AA rated underwriting capacity to industry specific exposures. This allows us to establish a reputation as leaders of some of the largest and most complex risks in the market. Based in Paris, you will work out of our office located in la Défense. You will report to the French Large Corporate UW Property Manager.

 

The Impact You Will Have 
As part of the team, you will be responsible for the portfolio of several CAC40 and SBF120clients. Your role will be to develop, negotiate and underwrite PDBI insurance programs for your clients and brokers. You will be responsible for the development and the profitability of your portfolio as well as monitoring the commercial relationship with clients and brokers in conjunction with your Management, the Regional Manager and the claims, engineering, operations, and distribution departments.

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

 

·  Carrying out risk analysis at a technical level: nature of the risk, quality of the risk, materiality, vulnerability of the risk.
·  Understand exposure, insurance cover and pricing strategy.
·  Drawing up a draft insurance program tailored to the customer's needs.
·  Underwriting within the framework of the Group's processes.
·  Developing commercial relations with brokers and customers in collaboration with the Distribution team.
·  Develop your portfolio with new prospects, saturation with new products. Ensuring the profitability and sustainability of the portfolio. 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role

·  Good knowledge of the PDBI insurance (policy, coverage).
·  Strong ability to develop relationships with brokers, customers and peers.
·  Ability to work in an international, multicultural and matrix environment.
·  Team spirit and entrepreneurial spirit focused on customer solutions.
·  Ability to conduct commercial negotiations.
·  Good interpersonal skills and thoroughness.
·  Fluent in English, another language would be a plus.
