Job Title: Systems Commissioning Engineer

Location: Reading, 4 days per week Onsite

Remuneration: Competitive Day Rate

Contract Details: 18 Month Contract, Full Time

Responsibilities:

·  Join our client's Systems Commissioning team and play a crucial role in commissioning and maintaining the critical network and server infrastructure systems across multiple sites.

·  Review system and technical engineering designs to identify any issues before installation.

·  Provide guidance to technology partners on best practises for hardware and software configurations.

·  Commission, configure, service, and maintain security systems across various locations.

·  Ensure compliance with industry standards and company health and safety procedures.

·  Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

·  Support project meetings and planning sessions to ensure requirements are met and activities are delivered on time.

·  Ensure proper project handover, including relevant document completion and network topologies.

·  Provide second-line support for networks and applications.

·  Thrive in a fast-paced work environment with excellent multitasking skills and attention to detail.

·  Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.

·  Exhibit a proactive attitude and a strong appetite for personal development in security applications and systems.

Requirements:

·  Experience in the installation and configuration of physical security equipment and network infrastructure.

·  Working knowledge of security applications, such as VMS/CCTV, access control, intercoms, etc.

·  Familiarity with the commissioning and testing of physical security systems.

·  Previous involvement in security projects on critical national infrastructure sites would be beneficial.

·  Additional knowledge in security platforms and virtualization using Hyper V is a plus.

·  Proficiency in command line interface for configuration and troubleshooting activities.

·  Familiarity with security platforms like FireEye, SolarWinds, Tanium, etc. would be advantageous.
