Our client, a well-known charitable organisation is looking to recruit a Procurement Adviser who will be responsible for providing procurement support to a number of high priority tenders including Technology, HR and Finance.

·  Pay: £50,000-£55,000 per annum

·  Type: Temporary

·  Start Date: ASAP

·  End date: 6-9 Months

·  Hours: 34.5, Mon-Fri

·  Location: City Of London

In this role, your accountabilities and responsibilities are…

·  Support contract owners with hands on advice in the planning of the supplier selection process, understanding and drafting of key requirements, manage the tender responses as required, lead / support tender and contract negotiations

·  Identify and address procurement risks and their appropriate mitigation strategies

·  Explaining procurement processes and requirements to contract owners and other stakeholders and persuading them to adopt best procurement practice

·  Provide expert support and advice to contract owners undertaking all levels of procurement activity to support them in running their own procurements

·  Ensure that all purchasing and contracting arrangements reflect best value and comply with the Purchasing Policy

·  Developing robust and commercially sound evaluation criteria to evaluate supplier bids

·  Provide procurement and technical input into the drafting of contract clauses

·  Report writing and presentation of results and recommendations to senior managers

·  Contributing to the continuous efficiency of the company by delivering savings through our procurement activities

·  Ensuring tender documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored

To do this role, you will have…

·  Ability to analyse and evaluate supplier responses and make recommendations to senior stakeholders

·  Proven ability to succeed and deliver results through collaboration with contract owners and other stakeholders

·  The ability to plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines

·  Strong experience in Technology procurement and a working competency in drafting agile and waterfall contracts

·  Significant procurement experience within Healthcare, Charity or complex organisations
