Description

Adecco, a leading recruitment agency is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Machinist / Lathe Operator /Fitter Operative to work for our client based in Birkenhead.

Adecco you are looking for a qualified Machinist / Lathe Operator /Fitter to work for one of our top clients.

The main roles and responsibilities include:

·  Using a Lathe and tooling to machine components as specified on drawings

·  The ability to read engineering drawings.

·  Ability to work to a high standard working to specified tolerances with excellent attention to detail.

·  Competent in setting tools, including having an understanding of cutting speeds and feeds.

·  Experience using measurement/inspection equipment etc

·  Highly motivated and have the ability to work well in a team

·  Maintains work areas in a safe, clean and orderly manner including conformance

·  Numerate & literate to GSCE Standard

·  Flexible attitude to learning

·  Good communication skills

Formal Engineering qualifications and /or relevant time served experience essential

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am - 4.30pm

Friday 7am - 12noon

Must be flexible as times may change

Experience:

·  Manual Lathe Operating: 2 years (Required)

Pay rate is £12 to £13 per hour but depending on experience pay rate may increase
