Purpose of Job:

The Support Engineer will be offering day to day IT support to Employees on-site and occasionally remotely. The support Engineer will play an active role in a small team of professional engineers, across a diverse range of technologies, who carry out, support, maintenance, fault investigations, and upgrades and ensure faults and support tickets are resolved effectively, ultimately ensuring changes and enhancements implemented professionally, with minimal risk and minimal service disruption.

Responsibilities:

·  1st line support for all IT queries.

·  Proactive maintenance of the business IT systems; anti-virus, Windows and application updates

·  Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software faults.

·  Installing and configuring PCs, phone and printers.

·  Administering the telephony platform and call recording/reporting systems.

·  Windows Server maintenance and backup administration.

·  Training staff in the use of IT equipment and software.

Person Specification:

This position requires the following key skills and attributes:

·  Previous experience in an IT support position or relevant qualifications.

·  Hardware fault diagnosis and repair.

·  Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop, Windows Server and Microsoft Office applications.

·  Basic networking fundamentals.

·  Knowledge of relational database systems.

·  Knowledge of CRM systems.

·  A natural trouble-shooter and problem solver.

·  Enthusiastic, flexible, and able to successfully multi-task.

·  A quick learner with a logical mindset.
