Our client based in Sutton is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IRO who is passionate about achieving the best outcome for children and young people in their care.

Our client has recently implemented a new approach to looked after reviews ("All About Me Reviews") which involves IROs doing direct work within the reviews and writing their reports and letters to children and young people, using child-focused language. As well as chairing reviews you will also be involved in other quality assurance activities such as undertaking audits and delivering training.

Main duties and responsibilities:

·  To Chair looked after children reviews.

·  To provide challenge focusing on delivering good outcomes for children who are subject to child protection plans and those who are looked after.

·  To ensure that statutory obligations and directorate procedures are met and followed.

·  To monitor the quality and progress of children's care plans, and to challenge practice that does not meet the required national and local standards using appropriate monitoring escalation protocols,

·  To participate in regular supervision and take responsibility for professional development.

To be a successful applicant for this position you will need to have a relevant Social Work Qualification (CQSW, Diploma in Social Work or BA/MA in Social Work) and have a current HCPC registration.
