This is a great opportunity for an Independent Reviewing Officer to work within a Local Authority. This is a Temporary Social Work position based in Redhill. As an Independent Reviewing Officer, you will play a key part of the children, schools and families team.

Your responsibilities as Independent Reviewing Officer:

·  To monitor the LA performance of their statutory functions in relation to the case of each child who is looked after or subject to a Child Protection Plan.

·  To chair multidisciplinary, MASH child care reviews, & quality assure the care planning & review process for each looked after child.

·  To monitor, on an ongoing basis, the cases of those children who have been subject of a review or conference.

·  To assist with the assessment & review of organisations from which the LA purchases services for children and their families.

Requirements for you as an Independent Reviewing Officer:

·  Qualified Social Worker BA/DipSW/CQSW or equivalent

·  Current registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)

·  3 years post qualifying UK experience

·  Previous IRO experience beneficial
