Job description



Key tasks

The responsibility of the position includes;

- Supervise and maintain the sanitation of all kitchens, store rooms, hall ways, pantry kitchens, ensure a safe and productive operation, schedule all stewarding colleagues, organize shift briefings.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas and HOH areas as well as ensuring all maintenance needs are look after. Perform daily checks on staffing levels, quality control, maintenance, cleanliness, reports all incidents.
- Control breakage, wastage and spoilage, control stocks for banqueting, participate in dish washing, pot washing, garbage removal, silver polishing, check bins keeping levels low, ensure safe and healthy working environment.
- Maintain stewarding payroll, liaise with chemical suppliers when needed, keep inventory of small operating equipment’s and china, banqueting items. Update daily time sheets.
- Perform training, order and control of inventory of all cleaning compounds, ensure colleagues maintain grooming standards, communicates regularly with hygiene and senior chefs. Promotes a warm friendly working environment.
