Our location in Irving, Texas currently has an opportunity for a Senior Statistician – Medical Devices / Healthcare .

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Senior Statistician provides appropriate statistical input into study design analysis of data. Ensures that statistical sections of protocol-directed clinical studies; design verification; design validation; characterization; and/or research studies are designed to establish or validate product performance claims and/or meet other study objectives. This team member participates in the preparation of data review and regulatory submissions as well as establishes a high degree of competence in clinical statistics and/or study design and appropriate statistical methods.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

·  Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
·  Develops experimental design and performs statistical analyses for studies. Participates on project teams.
·  Performs SAS and/or other statistical programming to generate analyses of data.
·  Advises and trains newly hired statisticians; directs others in completion of tasks and projects; and suggests
·  improvements for increased departmental efficiency.
·  Continue to develop management and supervisory skills necessary for advancement; functions independently;
·  and interacts with all levels of medical and scientific professionals.
·  May perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

·  B.S. Statistics (or related field) + 5 years’ experience
·  SAS and/or other statistical programming, statistical writing, experience in data analysis. For a clinical position, experience includes statistical programming and experience in data management processes.

Preferred

·  Master’s degree plus 3 years’ experience or PhD in Statistics ( or related field) with 2 years of experience is
·  preferred.
·  For a clinical position; specific experience in clinical statistics is desirable.
·  Experience with diagnostic, device, or pharmaceutical product development and/or support
·  Solid R programming skills or other statistical software programming and good understanding of data management systems
